Friendly Friday Bridge Club

about us
The Friendly Friday Bridge Club is ideal for anyone who is relatively new to playing duplicate bridge. We welcome all players who are happy to play at a  pace suited to beginners and will always try to find a partner for you on the night.

The club meets about 20 times a year (always on a Friday night) at the Hatfield Heath Village Institute. A map of the area is provided in the find us section and our diary contains the club dates for this year together with news about forthcoming events.

All Friday night sessions start promptly at 7.30 pm and it is helpful if you arrive by 7.20 pm so that the tables and movements can be organised.

There is plenty of parking across the road at Hatfield Heath Village Hall but the short walk to the Institute Hall is not particularly well lit so a torch can be helpful. Parking at the Institute Hall itself is very limited so needs to be reserved for anyone who cannot walk far.

The bridge sessions last between two and a half to three hours with tea, coffee and biscuits served half way through. The cost of each session is currently £2.50.

The club is affiliated to the EBU (English Bridge Union) meaning that any results from the duplicate bridge sessions will be sent to the EBU and recorded on its website.

If you would like to learn how to play the fascinating game of bridge, why not join our lessons which start in September.

We look forward to seeing you at the club.
